Your core responsibility will be to ensure all materials are available on time and in full, servicing all channels and territories, whilst maintaining inventory value to a minimum. You will manage stock to agreed levels and optimise stock holding by engaging with key stakeholders across the business and supply base.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Replenishment and management of materials to ensure full availability for customers at all times
- Controlling, building and strengthening supplier relationships to continually improve and report on performance
- Ensure effective communication to all relevant stakeholders using high standard of interpersonal, written, verbal and presentation skills
You’ll be a can-do person, with a flexible and positive nature. You must be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and be able to prioritise your workload effectively.
You’ll have strong analytical skills and be IT literate (with intermediate level Excel) as the role involves a high level of reporting and analysis. Experience of material control, planning, supply chain or similar is desirable; however you must have experience in liaising with suppliers and be able to build effective, strong relationships in order to drive the business forward.
The Material Controller job is based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire and is paying up to £35,000 according to individual skills and previous experience.
