Market leading packaging business based in the South West are looking for an Engineering Manager.
Client Details
This company is a market leader in packaging manufacturing . The company has sites all across Europe and supplies a wide range of customers. They are a cash rich organisation who have been investing heavily in new machinery and new technologies.
Description
The Engineering and Facilities Manager will be responsible for the control and management of the engineering department to ensure continuous improvement in the reliability of plant and equipment. Ensuring machines are in a safe and effective condition.
To continuously analyse downtime data driving the engineering department to work autonomously as maintenance engineers with the plant.
Responsible for the safe operation of all plant and equipment on site, the safe working practices of the team, contractors and apprentices.
Profile
The Engineering and Facilities Manager:
- Experience Managing and Engineering department
- Practical experience of mechanical and electrical plant installations and the maintenance thereof
- Working knowledge of the regulations relating to factory plant and services, to enable effective specification
- Experience of managing projects, involving the coordination of people and resources, including suppliers, subcontractors and company personnel
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access databases and AutoCAD
- This list is not exhaustive and you will be required to carry out other duties within your trained capabilities
