Specifications Technologist - INTERIM

My client a successful and well respected food manufacturer in Leicester are seeking an Interim Specifications Technologist to join their Technical department, you will take a key role in supporting the New Product Development Team and ensuring that product specifications and information is correct

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure due diligence and take into consideration timescales, company procedures, legislation and customer codes of practice
• Ensuring that correct technical information is on correct packaging
• Attendance at customer meetings
• To ensure you keep up to date with current legislation and company policies
• Ensuring that raw materials specifications are assessed according to particular standards
• Reviewing analytical data
• Be compliant with customer requirements
• Support to production to provide solutions

Skills and experience;

• Understanding of HACCP, GMP and hygiene
• Basic understanding of Microbiology and Nutrition
• Strong communicator
• Analysis
• Attention to detail
• Good computer skills
• Strong communicator

Qualifications

• Degree/HND in a food or science discipline
• 1 years+ experience in food manufacturing
• Food safety and Hygiene Qualification
• Days Mon- Friday, 8.30am-5pm 
• Pension
• Canteen 
• Free Parking

£300 per day plus expenses

Term- (rolling 1 month contract)
