A new role has just become available with this niche and expanding food business. The company are well-established and produce high quality products which are supplied into a variety of retailers.
As Warehouse & Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for organising the safe and efficient receipt, storage and despatch of warehoused goods, plus oversee the monitoring and control of stock; liaising with the production team to ensure all required packaging and raw materials are available as required. You will also liaise regularly with third-party storage and distribution units across the South East.
This is a hands-on role where you will create inventory reports and investigate stock variances ensuring the stock system is up to date for stock used and produced in the factory. You will also be required to check dispatched goods to ensure accuracy of deliveries, plus you will have line management responsibility for 3 Warehouse Operatives.
You will have previous experience of operating and managing a fast-moving warehouse and inventory control systems plus possess a working knowledge of manufacturing processes, most preferably food manufacturing or FMCG.
You will be well organised, self-motivated, proactive and willing to learn with the ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure. Good communication skills and being able to effectively liaise with senior management and factory staff are important together with a Forklift licence.
The Warehouse & Logistics Manager job is based in the South East region and is paying £30,000 - £35,000 per annum.
Flexibility is required regarding the shift pattern. Ideally you will be able to do 6.00am to 3.00pm with occasional 3.00pm to midnight shifts, although they would also consider an 8.00am to 5.00pm shift working Monday to Friday.
