Buyer - Produce/ Vegetables
An FMCG food business based in West London seeking to recruit a European Buyer focused on their Vegetables/Produce category.
Developing and executing procurement category strategies for Core Category using 7-step Strategic Sourcing process delivering value across quality, service, risk, innovation and cost, with a spend responsibly of €30m to €60m.
Sourcing from European & Global markets as appropriate for current and NPD products and provide market knowledge and insight for responsible categories and countries.
Stakeholder Relationship Management – building relationships (own and manage) with business stakeholders to build consensus and alignment for sourcing projects & executing value engineering (productivity) plans.
Supplier Management – Segmenting supplier base and outline engagement strategies aligned with supplier position, and where appropriate building relationships with strategic suppliers to deliver continuous improvement, cost savings and value creation.
Timely execution of managing cost line by completing annual budgeting and providing financial transparent annually for Annual Plan (AP) & quarterly forecasts (QxF).
Develop and secure and cost out sourcing projects to support annual procurement targets, utilising e-sourcing and other negotiation tools to drive positive Total Price Variances (TPV) / Purchasing Price Variance (PPV) to plan.
Ensure alignment with other category lead buyers, working collaboratively in order to drive scale, for example enable upstream buying value creation for Copack categories and vice-versa.
Ideally CIPs qualified or working towards qualification.
Languages (German, French, Italian would be beneficial)
Experience of managing complex supply chains within FMCG.
2 to 3 + years’ experience in a procurement function
Global or European sourcing experience
Proven delivery of tangible benefits in quality, service, innovation and cost savings.
Demonstrates an awareness and understanding of market fundamentals and supply base.
Demonstrates an awareness and of value chains & cost drivers
