Analyse finished goods stock levels and replenish central distribution centre within agreed parameters. To control and generate an efficient production plan in response to customer forecast and orders.
Client Details
Our client are a global manufacturer with a manufacturing facility in W.Yorkshire. They continue to grow both organically and through acquisition and due to a business restructure they are looking to appoint a Planning Manager.
Description
The key responsibilities of the Planning Manager role are:
- Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure site is working to an accurate sales forecast
- Enter sales orders into system to drive MRP and planned orders
- Create a smooth and achievable monthly production plan for both Manufacturing and Packing
- Be an active participant in the site S&OP process with a view to the wider aims of the site and business being achieved
- Escalate, as appropriate, risks/bottlenecks to schedule adherence to maximise product supply to end consumer
Profile
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience in production or materials planning/scheduling role
- A high level of ERP knowledge
- Ideally a degree/professional qualification in a Supply-Chain / MRP / Scheduling / Logistics/Purchasing-related subject
- An ability to influence at all levels in an organisation
- A high level of competence in Excel
