Due to extensive growth within my clients operations, I am looking to speak with Packaging Engineer's with FMCG or Food Experience

You will be joining a progressive, forward thinking business with state of the art machinery in a well run and slick engineering function.

This is a pure days role, working a 4 days on and 4 days off shift pattern.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the day to day specialist manufacturing and development teams in the packaging department
• Carry out maintenance on a range of packaging equipment including shrink wrappers, inkjet printing machines, liquid fillers, pallets, carton folding machines, rotary arms and other bespoke equipment
• Respond to PPM breakdowns and troubleshoot system faults
• Work frequently with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems
• Carry out continuous improvement projects on behalf of Production Manager
• Perform root cause analysis procedures and correctly input fault reports
• Create a planned quality inspection rota in which to carry out planned maintenance works
• Applying lean manufacturing principles to line efficiency's

Qualifications and Experience:

• HND/HNC or similar in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
• Previous experience maintaining, installing and repairing packaging and wrapping machinery essential
• Knowledgeable of root cause analysis procedures
• Previous FMCG experience, preferably in the food manufacturing industry
• Flexible with shift working hours
