Salary: £60,000 - £65,000
Let's be honest, it's been no easy journey to get to where you are now.
You've put the graft in. You've worked every shift pattern under the sun. You've climbed the ranks and earned your stripes.
And here you are; the unsung hero of your business. Trawling through the endless job adverts, numbing your brain with the bullet pointed set of responsibilities.
You've been in the game for too long to be patronised with what's expected of you. And you know what you need to do to keep the food safe, quality high, and customers happy.
So, what's in it for you?
You'll be given full autonomy to run the site day to day how YOU want it. Imagine that, no micro-management. Giving you a genuine opportunity to leave your mark on the business.
With the technical team growing this is a vital time for them in the exciting plans that they have. This could also lead to further opportunities down the line, and the business are notorious for pushing their people up through the ranks.
You will inherit a well-established (but very large) team that have worked hard to develop a good working culture. The challenge with such a large team is to be adaptable. Different people require different styles of management, and you'll need to get their engagement to help keep pushing them forward. Not just a case of 'how' but more importantly being able to educate on 'why.'
What do they need?
This isn't the sort of job for someone that wants to sit and bark orders from behind a desk. You'll be required to have a presence on the shop floor, be one of the team, and lead from the front in order to generate a buzz and excitement within the department to maximise potential.
So, if under the 'key achievements' part of your CV you talk about how you've improved BRC and customer audit scores, as well as developing and driving your team, you could be in luck!
