My client is a market leading manufacturing organisation going through a lean transformation change across their site. They are recruiting world class leaders from a range of different manufacturing sectors to introduce new ideas across the group and drive performance and efficiency in the organisation.
You will be inheriting a solid maintenance team with a lot of potential and are bought into someone introducing new methods.
Description
Leading a team of 20 to develop and implement the site asset care strategy and drive significant improvement in overall engineering performance through direction of the engineering teams involved with the manufacturing site - 16 manufacturing lines, with varied levels of automation
Delivery world class performance in all aspects of the balanced scorecard (Safety, Quality, Service, Cost) Asset care and Morale.
Manage a support service for the operation that achieves optimum performance and reliability of equipment, improves site resilience and delivers within agreed budgets
Influence the capex agenda and work with the Group Projects Manager and Operations Director to aide implementation
Development of maintenance competence, specifically the up skilling of craft to accommodate the changes in role brought about by Asset Care and Autonomous Maintenance programmes.
Custodian and advocate of safety of engineering work on site and leader of good governance around internal and external compliance (health & safety, quality and environment).
Profile
Time served engineer in either mechanical or electrical engineering within manufacturing
Food / FMCG / Automotive manufacturing experience (other industries also considered)
Strong track record of exceptional leadership with examples of improving performance
Lean manufacturing methodologies (TPM / Six Sigma / Kaizen / 5S / etc )
Job Offer
A highly competitive package with a basic salary of circa £60,000 dependent on experience
