Research and Development Manager

Our client really is passionate about brewing, and specialises in just one area of the process and they’re exceptionally good at it, offering a bespoke advisory, testing and design service that’s gained an international reputation with both home brewers and larger, commercial businesses.

With the business growing, they’re looking to expand the operation and are looking for a Lab based Research and development Manager to oversee and maintain all laboratory quality systems.

Managing a small, dedicated team, you’ll be running the department at the heart of the operation with budgetary responsibility and acting as lead on continuous improvement projects as well as ensuring that all scheduled maintenance for this department.

Ideally, you’ll be coming from a similar background, with experience of managing a cross functional team and be able to demonstrate that you are able to develop, coach and train.

Previous experience of having managed a budget is beneficial as is previous experience of working within manufacturing organisations.

A recognised qualification in Chemistry is an absolute must, an interest in how a perfect pint in put together wouldn’t go amiss either.
