Finance Director

First Achieve are working in partnership with one of our most loyal clients on an exclusive basis.

Our client is a leading food manufacturing group & supplier to the UK Food Service & Retail markets. Due to an internal promotion my client have tasked First Achieve to recruit a new Finance Director for their UK Operations.

You must be able to understand, anticipate and deliver the financial and business needs. Ensure quality financial information is used to facilitate decision making. Manage and initiate business growth plans alongside the MD. Build strong relationships with internal and external customers through effective communication and personal accessibility. Drive commercial acumen throughout the business. Engender a climate that energises finance team members and drives accountability.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring financial rigour and group margin optimisation for multi-country customers, partners and potential customers.

This role will report directly to the MD and you will deputise that role in their absence.

Skills & Qualifications Required:

Proven FMCG experience within £100M+ businesses
High Level of Financial Acumen - a qualified accountant with factory / food manufacturing and commercial finance background.
Strong Analytical, Planning, Forecasting and Reporting Skills.
Strong resilience: ability to work in a highly pressured environment and meet deadlines as required.
Superb influencing and excellent relationship building skills.
High cross-cultural sensitivity and high Emotional Intelligence.
Results Orientated.
Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal.
Must be adept in the use of Excel, PowerPoint and Word (knowledge of SAP would be helpful).

My client are willing to pay a basic salary circa £70k dependant of experience plus a comprehensive benefits package icluding a fully expensed car or car allowance, 15% Bonus, Pension and Private Healthcare
