Specification Technologist Part time (3 days a week), 6 month fixed term contract

Key Accountabilities

• Generate and check product specifications ensuring that they meet the appropriate standard, and ensure that these systems are kept up to date.
• Responsibility for the technical sign off for packaging, involving checking artwork against specifications through several stages.
• Coordinate all information for new product specifications and transferring data into specific requirements.
• Liaise with product development teams in order to design and create effective product specifications for all products in accordance with procedures.
• Provide and maintain up to date information for consumer care to enable a timely response to customer enquiries.
• Assisting the relevant Technical Manager and Packaging/Design Co-ordinator in the successful launch of new and redesigned lines, through timely completion of tasks in line with project critical path

Personal Profile

• A Food related degree ideally or equivalent qualification
• Experience of the online retailer specification systems would be desirable
• Strong communication skills for dealing with suppliers and customers
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Strong understanding and previous experience of the food manufacturing industry
