Project Manager NEW SITE BUILD
A rare opportunity to be part of a large, FMCG new site build. This Project Manager role will play a pivotal role in taking a site build from concept to launch. Once operational this role will take a senior engineering/projects role across the group.
Our client are a growing FMCG business based in S. Yorkshire with a number of sites throughout the UK. With a positive looking future our client are investing heavily into future proofing the business and meeting the market demands.
Responsible for heading up the Projects team the Project Manager will fulfil a demanding yet rewarding role in bringing a new S. Yorkshire site into the group.
Other responsibilities include:
*Build a projects team to develop a strategy and deliver milestones against set timescales
*Make business and project critical decisions to stay within budget and time-frames
*Overseeing the accounting, costing and billing
*Reporting to the client or senior stakeholders on progress
*Evaluating the success of the project against its bench-marking and sharing lessons or best practice with other organisations or project managers
*Monitoring sub-contractors to ensure guidelines are maintained
The successful candidate will have a range of the following:
*Engineering background - experience working with a food factory build will be advantageous
*Managed a number of FMCG projects £500k+ (factory/warehouse builds, extensions, automation machinery, layout, data management)
*Ability to demonstrate an engineering skill-set across the following: mechanical, High Voltage, infrastructure, equipment specifications, utilities
*Experience using project management software e.g. Microsoft Project
*Be resourceful and enthusiastic process driven person able to wear a number of hats across the organisation
*Relevant qualifications across engineering and project management (Prince 2 etc.)
*Able to travel internationally to visit manufacturers and customers
