Our client is a leading player within the FMCG industry, they are a global business who are continuing to grow and win further business. Their expertise cross over to many markets and they have branched out to 4 different sites with the UK. They are searching for an experienced Engineering Manager to cover their Cambridgeshire site.

The Engineering Manager covering the Cambridgeshire business will be joining a forward thinking FMCG manufacturer, company are delivering sustainable profitable growth, while also priding themselves on a high quality of work to ensure that they produce specialist products to a high specification while adhering to legislation.



Description

The successful Engineering Managers day to day responsibility would be;
  • To line manage and develop a team of 9 (electrical and mechanical)


  • To support the management of the Environmental, Health and Safety management systems on both sites.


  • To manage all aspects of Engineering costs, including spare part inventory


  • To manage all relevant site contracts and associated contract workers working on site


  • To liaise with the company's corporate and centralised functions where relevant


  • To compile and report relevant data for local and corporate use


  • To take ownership of all Engineering and technical projects and ensure that all project deliverables are achieved in agreed timescales


  • To drive continuous improvement and best practice initiatives in the key elements of manufacturing performance






Profile

The successful Engineering Manager would have;
  • must be computer literate and have an understanding of computer systems


  • must possess a minimum HNC/HND


  • have strong knowledge of working within FMCG


  • Experience managing a team of electrical and mechanical engineers


  • Excellent management skills - able to lead, direct, empower, support and encourage the development of team members


  • Experience working within a printing machinery environment
