Shift Maintenance Engineer (Electrical)

This role Is working for a highly innovative, private label manufacturer of chilled and frozen products which pride themselves on the quality of products, service level and reliability. Their success is credited to their ability to closely monitor market trends, allowing them to create products which meet consumer and customer needs.
As Shift Maintenance Engineer, you will assume responsibility for the electrical integrity of equipment and will provide full engineering support.
You will carry out planned and preventative maintenance and development of PPM’s where possible, resolve machine breakdowns to ensure maximum line efficiency of the production process, assist in maintaining the engineering stores by identifying parts and raising parts requisition forms for repairs and stock replenishment, ensure stores booking in and out procedures are being adhered to and ensure current practices meet Health and Safety and Food Safety standards.
You will possess a formal engineering qualification to at least City and Guilds level, ONC/HNC level or equivalent industry experience. You will have a background working in a manufacturing/production environment, most preferably food and knowledge of modern processing plant machinery would be preferred. You will be electrically biased, ideally with experience of electrical test equipment, schematic diagrams, single and 3 phase installations, motors, inverters and PLC’s. A driving licence is also required.
The Shift Maintenance Engineer job is based in the Aberdeenshire region and is paying £15.40 per hour and rising to £16,.40 after completion of probation period (equating to approximately £35,916 per annum). The company will also offer assistance with relocation if required.
The working pattern will be 12 hour shifts 4 on, 4 off – dayshift (6am – 6pm) and backshift.
