This is a key role with a global blue-chip food manufacturer. The role is critical to the development, implementation and improvement of regional Quality and Food Safety standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders in developing company standards
• Devise best practice implementation strategies
• Control the process of gap assessment against company standards within Region
• Support the roll out of Food Safety plans to the sites
• Track and drive the delivery of aligned and improved standards and ways of working to meet a 0-defect target
• Review KPI data, identifies areas of concern and ensure appropriate action is identified to address issues
• Build effective relationships with key stakeholders
• Maintain and improve Region-specific standards
• Benchmark internally and externally to identify practices for standardisation
• Horizon scanning to look for next generation initiatives
• Shares knowledge and best practice within the business

Skills and Experience

• Experience of working in a management role in an FMCG environment 3 years minimum
• Demonstrable knowledgeable and skills in managing Quality Management and Food Safety Systems
• Degree in Science or Food related subject
• Level 4 HACCP qualification
• Level 4 Food Safety Management qualification
• Lead Auditor qualification
• Self-starter who can work on own initiative
• Excellent communication, influencing + interpersonal skills
• Positive and collaborative attitude
• Professional approach representing the department
• Thorough, determined and tenacious
