This role plays a key part in managing a shift in a fast paced production environment. You will be responsible for creating a strong, working health and safety environment as well as hitting production targets OTIF.
Client Details
Our client are a growing, ambitious FMCG manufacturing business based in Grimsby. Through continued expansion the business are looking to grow their team and bring in a new shift supervisor.
Description
With full autonomy on shift, the shift supervisor will be responsible for hitting all production KPI's as well as developing the team and encouraging a continuous improvement culture. Reporting into the Operations Manager this roles plays a key part in the smooth running of operations whilst on shift.
Other responsibilities include:
* Assess, improve and implement Health and Safety policies and procedures across the shift and the wider business
* Work with the team to hit production targets that meet all quality standards and deliver OTIF
* Communicate, delegate and escalate tasks to ensure targets and deadlines are met
* Identify and implement continuous improvement / Lean opportunities on shift and the wider business
Profile
The successful candidate will have a range of the following:
* Worked in a supervisory level position within an FMCG manufacturing business - Food, Print, Packaging, etc.
* Experienced with Health and Safety policies and procedures - IOSH, NEBOSH qualifications will be advantageous
* Ability to make decisions and lead a team to hit KPI's
* Drive and ambition to grow and develop within the business
