Are you an academic looking for an innovative and successful university to take your next step? At NTU, we recognise that our greatest strengths lie in the energy, expertise, and experience that our colleagues bring.

Thanks to our £421million investment in estates and equipment across our three campuses since 2003/4, at NTU we deliver an inspirational learning environment for both staff and students.  Our research facilities allow us to shape lives and society, which is central to our mission and achievements of our aims.

We are looking to fill the position of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Food Technology to prepare and deliver lectures and workshop sessions in food technology, food processing, food marketing and management and to provide tutorial support to students studying a number of different courses in the food science and technology subject area.

Based at the Brackenhurst Campus for the School of Animal, Rural and Environmental Sciences, Southwell, Nottinghamshire, an opportunity has arisen to join an experienced team in the delivery of a suite of exciting food science and technology courses, including apprenticeships and commercial courses for those employed in the food manufacturing industry.

The School of Animal, Rural and Environmental Sciences at our Brackenhurst campus is located in a 200-hectare estate near the attractive Minster town of Southwell.  The university in recent years, has invested in laboratories and teaching facilities, glasshouses and wildlife conservation areas, veterinary and animal science units, equestrian arena and commercial farming facilities to create a superb location for teaching our Further Education students.  The university continues to invest in Brackenhurst with a new Reception and Environment Centre currently under construction.

The post-holder will have worked in the food industry and will be experienced in an area of food production.  They will be motivated and talented, contributing to learning and teaching activities whilst also being able to provide academic mentoring for students.  An experience of teaching in Higher Education would be beneficial.
