BUYER – PROTEIN:
We’re currently recruiting for a buyer managing the protein category on behalf of an exciting SME challenger food business. The role is based out of their London offices, the buyer will be required to develop and implement long term strategies which, drive revenue, profit and performance of the business.

COMPANY PROFILE – PROTEIN BUYER:
The business is a start-up organisation which has grown quickly over the past few years. Following their recent growth the business is looking to diversify and expand their product range.

DUTIES – PROTEIN BUYER:
  • Develop category strategy with agreed targets
  • Working across different functions in the business to create a category strategy
  • Forecasting stock control for the category taking into consideration market trends
  • Collaborating across the business to create and deliver cost saving targets 
  • Evaluate supply chain and put in processes to mitigate risk
  • Supplier sourcing and negotiating contracts with new suppliers
  • Implement new contracts and legal agreements across supply base
  • Use new technology in day to day role and champion new working methods 

EXPERIENCE PROFILE – PROTEIN BUYER:
  • Experience and an understanding of a protein based category
  • Experience within an FMCG or Retail organisation would be desirable
  • Proactively manage the supply and manufacture base to drive efficiency 
  • Driving innovation, new ways of working and thinking across the business
  • Demonstrated experience of year on year growth
  • Ability to build trust, relationships and manage expectations internally and externally 
  • Commercial awareness
  • Motivated self-starter - able to identify improvement ideas
  • Ability to own and deliver own work against tight deadlines

PACKAGE – PROTEIN BUYER:
Salary: <£60000
