Head Of Operations

First Achieve are exclusively working with an established Food Manufacturing client to recruit a Head of Operations. This role is part of the senior leadership team and is key to the continued focus and ongoing improvements being made across Production in the Factory, Warehousing and the rest of the Operations.

The role will develop a culture based upon continuous improvement & efficiency across Factory Production & the Supply Chain(Planning, Logistics & Warehousing).
Reporting to the MD, you will work to develop and implement the long-term Operations strategy.

The company is a large established FMCG business with sites througout the UK & Europe, looking to continue its development whilst ensuring process and change throughout Factory/ Production/ Warehouse / Operations is identified, created and implemented. This is an exciting role for a strategically minded candidate, focusing on the bigger picture and culture improvement as well as day to day management of Production.

Ideally you will have strong experience from a fast moving food manufacturing business. You will be the type of individual who is keen to progress and develop your career whilst the ability to add value & drive change is key to this role.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure effective and efficient running of all areas within the operation, to achieve targets and meet / exceed customer expectations and requirements
  
• Lead a strong focus on Health and Safety, ensuring that all requirements are fully complied with
  
• Lead, coach and develop the team to ensure that they are best placed to achieve their individual and team performance targets and where necessary identify opportunities to make improvements
  
• Play a lead role in significant business change programmes
  
• Resolve key issues or challenges through early identification whilst fostering an environment of problem solving
  
• Implement continuous improvement methodology, ensuring adoption of any improvements throughout the operation and changes are embedded

Experience required:

• Relevant experience of Production Management, Warehousing and Operations within food manufacturing is essential.
  
• Experience of implementing and embedding new Food Production, Warehousing and Operations systems and ways of working
  
• Proven track record of delivering continuous improvement
  
• Successful and engaging team leader
  
• Confident, proactive, and able to make decisions when faced with challenging options regarding costs and deadlines

Salary up £70k DOE, Bonus, Penison & Private Healthcare
