Job Details

First Achieve Engineering have an exciting & rare opportunity to join one of their family owned, highly successful clients. Due to a long-term employee emigrating overseas, they are seeking an Engineering Manager to assist and spearhead the on-going growth throughout their state-of-the-art facility in Manchester.

Boasting multiple sites throughout the UK, they have recently secured multiple long-term agreements with various market-leading supermarket chains. Year upon Year, they grow stronger, bigger & continuously invest in their employees. Proven Track record of promoting within & a genuine team-feeling throughout.

You will join the business' Engineering Management Team, managing an Engineering Team across 4 Shifts, with up to 20 employees reporting into you. All their Engineering Management team adapt a hands-on, teamwork approach reporting to the Chief Engineer & working on a Monday to Friday, day shift pattern (6am - 3pm), although a degree of flexibility is preferred.

This position will develop and lead the medium to long term operational plans of the site, whilst being a role model that underpins a culture of operational excellence, high performance, continuous improvement, people management and development, as well as active engagement of all staff. This position will focus on delivering and meeting the needs of both internal and external customers and be responsible for cascading and delivering on Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and responsibilities, as directed by site management, and in particular the Site Manager and Engineering Manager.

We are looking to speak with Time-Served, Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers with experience of Managing Projects, ideally within the Food industry. You will have previous experience managing & supervising Engineers, but also be flexible & confident to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in yourself.

Given the industry our client operates within, it is essential that you have a real appreciation for urgency. Our client can produce thousands, upon thousands of units per hour so minimal downtime is absolutely critical. You must have an open mind, be flexible in your approach & have a continuous improvement mindset throughout.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a rapidly growing, continuously improving & highly successful business in a brand-new role, created purely on the basis of their growth. You will be a part of their success story & as a result will be rewarded with an exceptional base salary & impressive benefits package.

Apply Today & one of our Engineering consultants will be in contact to discuss the role & your application in more detail. A full, informative job description will be provided prior to the next stage of the application process.
