Job Details
We are working with a well established and highly regarded fresh produce business as they seek a Technical Assistant to cover a broad range of Technical and Agronomy activities.
Our client is a grower and processor of fresh produce so your role as Technical Assistant will see you being responsible for supplier approval and also providing agronomic services to the grower group.
Your duties will include:
Assisting the Agronomy team with all agronomic services.
Managing field and storage sampling.
Developing in house R&D projects and trials.
Managing the supplier approval system.
Assisting growers and promoting best practise.
We are looking for candidates who have a strong understanding of the agricultural industry and QC analysis. You will also have a basic understanding of HACCP and Red Tractor requirements. BASIS would be an advantage but is not essential as training will be given for the right candidate.
This is a hands-on role so it is important that you are happy to get stuck in and that you are passionate about fresh produce and agriculture.
