Job Details

First Achieve are working with a leading Food Manufacturer in search for a Assistant Hygiene Manager due to expansion of the site and a restructure of the Hygiene Team.

This role will be perfect for someone who is wanting to take the next step in their career from supervisor to manager. This role will be a permanent 4on 4off day shift working 6am till 6pm.
You will be responsible for co-ordinating and managing a hygiene team across the whole site covering all production, domestic and other ancillary areas both internally and externally in a cost effective way.


Also you will be responsible for ensuring the cleaning of the factory production areas, equipment, perimeter and domestic areas meets the levels of Company, Customer and Legislative Hygiene standards and ensure all Health & Safety requirements are adhered to at all times

Main Responsibilities
  • Coordinate hygiene staff and make sure work is carried out to correctly and efficiently to meet the expectations of the business.
  • Create and maintain daily/weekly/monthly reports suitable for department heads
  • Deliver training to the team as and when required.
  • Reporting any issues that may arise that could potentially impact the product quality, production or any environmental issues.
  • Deep cleaning of relevant areas following the cleaning schedule as and when required.
  • Make sure health & safety procedures, quality/hygiene standards and company rules are always followed.

Ideal candidate:

  • Must have previous food industry experience
  • Previous management experience
  • Food Hygiene certificate
  • HACCP & BRC knowledge
  • Been involved in audits
  • COSSH Qualification.
  • Leadership skills


My client will pay a salary of £35k plus a 5% pension and you will get a further 22 shifts holiday.
