Excellent opportunity for a Shift Manager to join a market leading FMCG company that continue to go through exciting progression.

I am currently recruiting a Shift Manager for a market leading FMCG business that supply products all over the world. This award-winning company continues to go through mammoth growth as they maintain a niche in their market. This is a great opportunity to work at a brand-new facility that's recently had huge investment, my client has a guaranteed demand from customers and retailers making this the ideal time to join their exciting journey.

As a Shift Manager you will ideally have several years' experience within the FMCG industry doing a similar role, preferably you will have Food Manufacturing experience but other sectors within FMCG (Drinks / Pharmaceutical) will be considered. This position will be working in a very fast-paced environment, so having the ability to deal with pressure at pace is pivotal!

You will have an Engineering / Food Production / Technical degree or equivalent! Having an engineering background (Apprentice / Qualified) combined with manufacturing management experience would be ideal or vice versa.

You will have the ability to influence your team and drive a positive culture to ensure success. You will have excellent leadership skills and have real gravitas. You will be managing a multi-skilled team and constantly communicating with the other departments, so having exceptional communications skills is an absolute must!

This job is not for the faint-hearted and you must be willing to get stuck in, my client wants someone who can lead from the front and lead by example, implementing a strong people culture to not only your team but the wider business too!

Within any operations role Continuous Improvement is becoming a given but when you are managing a multi-skilled team of production and engineering professionals it's even more key! Ideally you will have a thorough understanding of CI backed up with examples of times you have used CI tools and techniques in your career resulting in positive change. Root cause analysis, fault-finding and problem solving are all phrases that you will be using on a daily basis!

Although this is a brand-new facility, improvements can always be made! You will be taking the lead with CI Projects and must be influential in your approach, coaching your team to understand the importance of CI. Having a Six Sigma qualification will be advantageous but not essential.

You will have an in-depth understanding of the importance of Health & Safety and Food Safety within the workplace, having qualifications within H&S / Food Safety / HACCP will be advantageous but not essential. Progression is very realistic for the ambitious individuals, this company has an excellent track record of looking after their colleagues providing coaching, training and personal development!

If you think you have the right skill set and this sounds like a business you would like to be part of then please apply!
