Our client is a food business dedicated to producing, growing and creating seasonal organic food for discerning consumers across the UK. They are experiencing continual growth and are now seeking a passionate and committed Fresh Meat Buyer who can support their team.

The Role

In this highly sought after and enticing role you will report in to the Head of Buying, managing the Fresh Meat Category. You’ll be responsible for defining, owning and delivering the Bi-annual category review to ensure ongoing range improvement and NPD Recommendations. You’ll be working closely with the wholesaler Manager to maximise category performance through forecasting and promotional planning. Working with suppliers negotiating contracts, prices and promotional support whilst identifying cost saving initiatives for the category and the company as a whole. You’ll be applying your industry expertise to identify new products that will bring innovation to the category whilst managing suppliers and resources to deliver commercial goals in line with agreed budgets.

The Person

Suit a bright and ambitious graduate with a Food or Business related degree, who has previous experience working in a buying or account management role within the Fresh Meat category. You will be a naturally strong communicator with an ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with the key Stakeholders in order to communicate ideas effectively and efficiently. Ideally, you will have an experience of bringing products to market with tangible evidence of maximising category performance and delivering sales.
