Job Details

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintaining compliance with all food safety, quality and regulatory requirements (including Corporate Quality Assurance policies) and customer quality satisfaction through the implementation and use of programs and test plans to control raw materials, in-process materials, production process, environmental conditions and finished products,
  • Leading the problem solving and providing risk management guidance for manufacturing and customer quality issues, defective raw material and finished product determination and disposition,
  • Managing customer visits and third-party audits,
  • Developing and ensuring the execution of robust plans to continuously improve food safety and quality processes, factory standards and culture,
  • Taking the lead and championing both short and longer-term quality initiatives to drive the food safety and quality agenda forward,
  • Technical point of contact for the site leadership team and all relevant functions to provide food safety and quality governance and support, including strategic and customer related projects,
  • Attracting, maintaining and developing high talent staff, driving accountability and self-managed excellence,
  • Interacting with leadership stakeholders within the Quality and Regulatory function (EMEA and Globally) to share and leverage learnings and best practices,
  • Managing department staffing, expense budget.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • BSc in Technical - Quality/Research/Product Development,
  • Strong leadership and food industry experience with demonstrated success in managing multiple projects and developing high performance teams,
  • Demonstrated significant and relevant skills as well as consistent results in both functional area and leadership roles,
  • Strategic and critical thinking with proven track record to lead change management,
  • Ability to translate strategy into executable and measurable steps to drive quality forward,
  • Strong communication skills, team player and ability to influence others at all levels and cross-functionally,
  • Relentless champion for Food safety and Quality with an eye for detail,
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of HACCP, BRC, Auditing, Quality/ Food Safety Systems, Allergen Management, Microbiology, Hygiene, Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis, SPC, Sensory and Project Management required.
