General Manager (Bar and Kitchen)

My client are a Bar and Kitchen based in the Greater London area. I am currently seeking a GM to manage their 11 staff unit. Ideally looking for someone with experience in this type of environment, staff management and training. 

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience with recruiting, training and developing FOH teams
• Proven experience in managing food and beverage operations
• Friendly, professional manner providing excellent customer service
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Professional with a problem solving and can-do attitude
• Highly organized and calm under pressure
• High financial literacy
• Autonomous self-starter

Responsibilities:

• Identify recruitment needs and fulfil those needs promptly
• Direct, train and manage supervisors and FOH team to ensure quality standards, correct use and maintenance of equipment and timeliness of service
• Conduct regular meetings with supervisors/FOH team and understand individual goals and development
• Review training structures and update where relevant with new procedures/equipment etc. including all method statements for FOH made-to-order products
• Ensuring correct procedures are followed with respect to cash handling, safety and security
• Developing relationships with suppliers with respect to stock management (consumables, coffee etc.)
• Recognising product issues and working with FOH, kitchen and juicing teams to correct these
• Maintaining KPI and incentive measures for FOH team
• Develop thorough understanding of business P&L, while managing production requirements and wastage
• Manage daily, weekly, monthly reports to identify strategy, trends, opportunities and areas of growth or decline within product lines, categories etc.

Salary £30,000

Working 5 days a week 45 hours.
