• Collaborating with and supporting your packaging team colleagues through brainstorming sessions and information gathering, to share ideas and enhance technical knowledge and expertise


• Presenting new packaging concepts and upgrades to key internal stakeholders and to the customer, in a professional manner, whilst demonstrating with confidence, your authority in this area.


• Benchmarking existing packaging, through regular attendance of customer trawls and key exhibitions, to develop market awareness.


• Working closely with machinery and packaging suppliers, collaboratively, to challenge the norm and develop new concepts, whilst ensuring the correct resources are available to respond efficiently, to customer requests in a timely manner.


• Attend key packaging trials, to ensure concepts translate into a production environment, in a repeatable and sustainable process and meet customer needs through the use of heating appliances to industry standards.


• Liaise with relevant testing houses to ensure the correct certification is achieved and legislative needs are clearly communicated to the business


• Understand and translate your development ideas via CAD, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop etc.


• In today’s strong environmental climate, focus on sustainable packaging solutions, to ensure your approach answers ever changing policy needs.

• A passion for packaging design across a variety of substrates, as well as the motivation to learn and enhance your skills within this fast-paced industry sector.


• A keen eye for detail, along with the ability to communicate effectively with packaging and machinery suppliers, our customers and a multi-disciplinary internal team.


• Enjoys the legislative needs of packaging and it’s associated testing requirements.


• Ability to multi-task consistently, to a high standard, in a resourceful and flexible manner, to strict timescales


• Happy to work as a team or independently, with a degree of UK travel


• A degree in Product Design or a related technical subject would be helpful


• Confident in the use of CAD, Power point and data visualisation.
