Maintenance Support Technician | Fresh Produce

We are currently working with a client who have shown their strength within the fresh produce market in recent years, seeing annual revenues in excess of £30million. The company have ambitious plans for the future and within this are looking to bring talented professionals on board to drive the business forward in the hope of reaching their goals.

The successful individual will work as part of the Engineering team and provide support to the shift maintenance engineers. The main purpose of the position is predominantly a deep cleaning role; which involves the removal of guards and barriers followed by the cleaning of all the production machinery. Throughout the cleaning of the machinery you must maintain high levels of health, safety, hygiene and housekeeping to BRC, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Path Information Unit Audit standards (PIU) at all times through the clean as you go policy.

Throughout this process, it will be your responsibility to ensure that the cleaning schedule is adhered to at all times, whilst reporting any faults found with either machinery or equipment. You will be required to work efficiently and effectively throughout your day to ensure that you contribute to the Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) set by the business. Whilst doing so you must adhere to Health and Safety, and Personal Hygiene legislation.

To be successful you must possess good written and spoken English. You must have good dexterity and have the ability to use basic hand tools. Individuals must be self-motivated and a go getter, wanting to complete their work to the highest of standards.
