Senior New Product Development Technologist

The Company

Our client is a major supplier of premium chilled and frozen products for the top UK retailers. With their people focused approach coupled with their passion for innovation and responsible sourcing, they are now seeking a Product Development professional to support and deliver key NPD projects across this fast moving category.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity to join this established and continually growing food business where you’ll support and manage the NPD process to deliver innovative new products for key retail customers. Reporting to the NPD Manager you’ll enjoy a dynamic and varied role where you’ll take responsibility for managing NPD projects from initial concept through to launch. Working in partnership with Technical and QA teams you will use your strong understanding of NPD processes to spot potential risks and issues, driving continuous improvements and applying corrective actions where required to ensure this successful company retains its position as a trusted manufacturer of high quality products.  You’ll present new ideas to your customer, impressing them with your product and industry knowledge and maintaining strong relationships to help both sides achieve their ambitious goals.

The Candidate

Suit a really ambitious and driven NPD Technologist with previous experience in food manufacturing who is looking to take their career to the next level. A keen eye for emerging food trends is essential as well as a good understanding of the creative and technical aspects of the product development process. You must have excellent communication and presentation skills coupled with the ability to build and maintain solid working relationships with key customers. You’ll also need exceptional attention to detail alongside great project management and organisation skills in order to achieve success in this challenging and rewarding role.
