The role

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well established distribution business based in Hampshire. You will have worked in HSE before preferably in the food industry and probably looking for a step up

Duties and Responsilities

• Undertaking inductions and recording training as appropriate
• Management of Human Focus Training
• Updating and monitoring the Training Matrix
• Chair Health and Safety meetings - briefing out minutes regularly
• Environmental site projects
• Undertaking near miss investigations and maintaining records
• Accident investigations and RIDDOR reporting
• First Aid and Spill Kit weekly checks / ordering and replenishing stocks
• Health and safety weekly walk arounds including perimeter checks
• Review and manage all Risk Assessments
• Undertake internal audits on Safe Systems of work, Fire Audits and Internal Health and Safety
• Internal auditing for BRC certifications, ensuring all internal audits are returned on time
• Environmental working in collaboration with QA

Skills and experience

• Strong Microsoft Office and Excel experience
• IOSH trained
• Previous experience with the ability to work as part of a team and autonomously
• Ability to plan, organise and prioritise own workload
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience in the food industry
• Good communication skills both telephone and face to face
