ROLE DESCRIPTION

This is a challenging opportunity to join the branded division and drive brand growth and exposure across multiple brands in multiple categories to customers (B2C) and consumers (B2B) in the FMCG categories.

The role will be specifically responsible for leading the development and implementation of the company’s marketing, social media, and communication activities through full management of the Marketing Communication Process – Analyse, Create, Plan, Execute, Measure and Adjust.

This role will be pivotal to the growth and development of the company’s brands across a wide and diverse product range into varying distribution channels and markets in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

ROLE OBJECTIVE

 To increase brand awareness across multiple media, channels and markets

 Responsible for planning of company promotional and advertising communications projects such as electronic, print, and special events to execute parts of the marketing plan

 Spot new marketing opportunities for the company and carry out marketing initiatives

 Assist in marketing plan preparation, including budget and short and long-term strategy

 Create and maintain consistent corporate brand/image voice cross product lines, events, and promotional materials, and throughout company departments/countries

 Put in place measures for recording success in marketing and communication efforts; gather result data and produce reports for the management team.

SUMMARY FOR KEY AREAS OF THE ROLE:

• Brand Performance

Monitoring performance of brands/products and the active management of ranging in terms of high and low performers

• Brand Management

Monitoring the performance of products/brands and the active management of ranges in terms of high and low performers

• NPD Management

Maintain and develop a pipeline of ideas for brand development to improve in market competitiveness. Ideas based on insight about the external environment (consumer, customer or competitor). Ensure centrally sourced work (NPD or creative) is fit for the UK consumer.

• A key driver of NPD internally through the business this involves coordinating multi-functions and activities, including close liaison with buyers, packaging technologist, R&D, suppliers and the customer

• Sales and Commercial Management

presentation of brands to key customers (UK and globally) including ongoing management of brand and marketing activities direct with key customers to ensure all new and ongoing product and live lines meet company margin criteria

• Sales Support 

Provide back-up and point of contact for internal and external customers and suppliers and  as appropriate, on behalf of other branded team members, ensure business matters are dealt with appropriately and where action is needed, forward to appropriate person

CANDIDATE DESCRIPTION

 Ideally previous people management experience or can demonstrate the ability to move into this role and challenge

QUALIFICATIONS

 Previous experience as a communications manager for an FMCG organisation would be a strong advantage.

 Able to demonstrate a high level of intellectual ability, likely through good academics (2:1 or equivalent), although other experience or test results may also demonstrate this. 

 Able to demonstrate a high level of numeracy

 Full Driving License

TECHNICAL/PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

 Minimum of 3 years marketing management experience. 

 Must be able to demonstrate experience across all elements of marketing communications

 Ideally industry experience of working with FMCG brands  

 Relevant degree  - Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Marketing or relevant field

 Strong experience in social media and email marketing campaigns (B2C)

MON-FRI Office Based, MON-THU 9am-5pm, FRI 9am-2pm

15% Bonus 

After 3 months Pension input doubled by employer i.e, 2% candidate, 4% employer

32 Days Holiday
