The company

The business has been operating for nearly 50 years offering their customers such as restaurants, retailers and wholesalers a comprehensive range of over 8000 authentic products. With an intimate understanding of the food production process and their own BRC accredited factory, great importance is placed on the provenance and traceability of all their products.

The job

As Food Technologist, you will be responsible for managing technical standards across the site to ensure that food safety, legality and quality standards are met at all times.

You will assist with site audits including customer, statutory bodies, third party and internal, keep up to date with legislative changes,  maintain an effective HACCP system, manage customer complaints, carry out mew supplier approval, ensure up to date specifications exist for all products, participate in the NPD process to provide technical input, check and approve artwork plus coordinate product testing to verify product quality and safety.

Your experience

Ideally educated to a degree level in a food science discipline, you will be a results orientated and driven individual who can demonstrate a good understanding of food legislation, compliance and quality. You will have solid technical experience within food manufacturing including knowledge of BRC, HACCP and site audits. Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is essential.

The Food Technologist job is based in the London region and is paying £23,000 - £26,000 according to individual skills and previous experience.

This is a maternity cover contract with a duration of 9-12 months starting in January 2020.
