To maintain our growth and ambition we have embarked on a huge investment in our packing centres, with automation, robotics and a desire to have a state-of-the-art production centre. .But we can’t do that without your help. Why? Because it’s our people that make us who we are.

Due to this growth we are currently recruiting a packing Centre manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Site Director you will effectively manage the collecting, grading, packing, warehousing, quality and despatch of eggs to company standards within prescribed resources allocated.

Every individual has a responsibility for Health and Safety, and this must be at the forefront of all packing activity.

PRODUCTION

• Ensure Production Planner prepares a plan to meet the daily sales requirement.

• Check progress against these plans and ensure that Distribution, Sales and Central Operations are aware when these plans are progressed.

• Ensure effective use of plant and equipment by monitoring daily engineering and production performance, ensuring machine efficiency is maximised.

PEOPLE

• Ensure all staff are briefed daily with the information they require to effectively carry out their duties.

• Ensure site-training requirements are met to ensure an effective, well balanced and flexible workforce.

• Formally appraise immediate subordinates on at least and annual basis using recognised company format (reviewing periodically) and agree their Personal Development Plan.

• Ensure objectives are set for the Management team and reviewed periodically.

• Update Packing Centre Director on the state of business on an ongoing basis.

• Maintain general discipline within the factory in line with procedures in HR Manual.
• To manage own and agency staff inline with all employment legislation.

Quality Cost Control Dispatch and waste

Ensure a quality operation is maintained adhering to all Health and safety Guidelines

Cost control is maintained and monitored

Dispatch matches customer demands in terms of agreed timelines

Waste is reduced to increase profitability

You

Ideal candidates will have a background in food production.in a management capacity

* Good communication skills and man management ability
* Results orientated and KPI led. Understand key business requirements and deliver
* React well to changing circumstances. Ability to solve problems as they arise
* Prior experience implementing lean and continuous improvement techniques
