The job

As NPD Technologist, you will be responsible for developing innovative, market leading savoury food products and recipes to fit customer requirements plus brainstorming new product ideas inline with emerging food trends.

Key duties:

• Prepare application products for customer presentations
• Attend customer visits and presentation as part of a team
• Attending internal production trials
• Sample production
• Supervise the work of Lab Technicians
• Work with the purchasing team to source new raw materials
• Communicate with suppliers
• Maintaining a hygienic and tidy environment in the laboratory

Your experience

To be considered for the NPD Technologist job, you will ideally be degree educated in a food science / technology or related discipline and possess food product development experience.

A background of working with savoury food products is essential such as savoury seasonings, marinades, sauces, coatings, glazes, mixes, savoury bakery, or similar food products.

To succeed in the role, you will have good project management skills, be highly organised and a strong passion for food, flavours, and product development.

The NPD Technologist job is based in the East Midlands region and is paying £25,000 - £30,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.45 am – 5 pm.
