The Customs Clearance Coordinator organises the Processing of all relevant customs data and documentation to ensure the fastest possible delivery times
Requirements of the role
Provide a central contact point for internal customers, suppliers/partners and sharing information to enable others to fulfil their role and build their understanding of Customs targets and objectives.
Prepare and processing import customs declarations (free circulation, transit, special procedures) ensuring all shipments meet applicable laws and procedures to facilitate the timely and cost effective import of goods.
Classifying goods according to the tariff coding system and determining custom tariff numbers
Requesting Long Term Supplier Declarations (LTSD)
Determining country of origin and calculating preferential origin
Maintaining a robust records system of relevant imports and export documentation (tax declarations etc) in compliance with company and HMRC requirements ensuring easy and complete access of files
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE will be a team player who shows tenacity, creativity and who has drive for excellent results.Minimum of 2-3 years previous experience. Excellent communication, presentation and IT skills. Will be able to build and maintain a good working knowledge of company products and services, customers, working practices and the computer software to perform the role.Has high levels of Integrity and Drive
