Product Development Technologist
Pontefract (home of Butterkist popcorn)
6 month FTC (fixed-term contract)
As our Product Development Technologist, you'll create exciting new snacking products (branded and own label) by working cross-functionally with colleagues in Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, Finance, etc.
What you'll be doing:
- Coordinating and supporting a range of product development projects, including cost reduction activities, NPD launches and continuous product improvements
- Develop products that are best in class in terms of performance, cost and efficiency
- Supporting the "Spirit of innovation" across the business

Essential knowledge, skills & experience:
- Demonstrable knowledge of food ingredients/food process and/or a good understanding of product development
- Strong organisational skills
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Strong numerical aptitude
- Good knowledge of food safety and manufacturing processes
- Good knowledge of flavours and food trends
- Product development experience
- Lean experience
