We are seeking a talented individual to join an innovative, high-quality manufacturer which supplies to various retailers throughout the UK. You will join a friendly and supportive team with a fantastic and fun working atmosphere.

The job

As Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for leading the site production teams through GMP and using your experience to instil a culture of engagement, continuous improvement and lean working, improving the overall efficiency.

This is a hands-on role where you will manage and control the materials processing and packing for all products, ensuring complete adherence to customer specifications and at optimum cost/efficiency.

You will also directly manage the Lead Engineer, approve all maintenance work, eliminate costs and prepare budgets, control direct costs, organise workflows, monitor production to resolve issues and also manage, train and develop all production staff.

Your experience

We are seeking a committed and positive individual with strong production and change management experience in a food manufacturing environment, with mid to high changeovers.

A proactive attitude is essential in this role, you will have a strong commitment towards people and quality, be performance-driven plus be able to focus on the bigger picture for driving the business forward.

You will have an inclusive and motivational management style, with the ability to inspire your team and draw on their strengths to improve overall production efficiency and performance.

You will be knowledgeable in performance evaluation and budgeting, have a good understanding of quality standards and H&S regulations plus ideally possess knowledge of food machinery/engineering.
