This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a leading, well-known food manufacturer which is part of a large national group. Products are manufactured to the highest quality and are supplied into all the major UK retailers under both own brand and private label.

The job

As Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the reliability of processing and packing equipment using PPM and CI plus provide full engineering support to the food manufacturing site.

Typical daily duties will include:

• Maintain the reliability of processing and packing equipment using PPM and CI
• Lead the development of automation in processing
• Resolve breakdowns; investigate reasons and identify preventative improvements
• Proactively monitor and maintain processing and packing equipment
• Service processing and packing equipment to a PPM programme
• Update instructions, manuals, etc
• Contribute to project management
• Proactively identify energy saving and waste reduction initiatives

Your experience

To be considered for the Multi-Skilled Engineer job, you will possess a strong engineering track record with good experience of working within food/beverage manufacturing.

You will be electrically biased (17^th or 18^th Edition), have experience of PLC fault finding and programming plus knowledge of automated processing and packing equipment.

Good working knowledge of pneumatics, Lean & CI, and cloud-based PPM systems is also required.

This is a permanent night shift role, the working hours will be 4 on, 4 off, 6 pm – 6 am.
