Laboratory Technician (Part Time Contract)

This role is working for an innovative and forward-thinking business which is constantly evolving and developing their products to stay at the forefront of their sector and maintain their reputation for producing an exciting product range.
As Laboratory Technician, you will provide an on-site laboratory testing, quality control and quality assurance service for the company.
Using a range of instrumental techniques, you will provide quality control on incoming materials to ensure compliance with both in-house specifications and EU/UK regulations, maintain laboratory equipment to ensure its in good working order, carry out quality control on outgoing products, maintain all analysis records, archiving samples and perform instrument calibrations.
Ideally educated to a degree level in a food science or microbiological discipline, you will possess previous laboratory experience within the food manufacturing industry. A background of working with beverages is a great advantage.
You will be competent in basic laboratory techniques, be fluent with MS Office software and further qualifications including HACCP and food safety are desirable.
The Laboratory Technician job is based in the West Midlands region and is paying £18,000 pro rata.
This is a part-time role, Monday to Friday, 6 am – 11 am for a total of 25 hours per week. This position is a 6 month contract.
