Quality & Food Safety Manager / Technical Manager (FMCG)

Location: Blackpool Bakery, Lancashire

Why work as part of our Quality & Technical Teams?

As the Quality & Food Safety Manager / Technical Manager, you will have responsibility for setting the strategy for the Blackpool bakery, managing the Burton’s Biscuit Company’s site technical quality team to ensure that products that enter the market place are safe and legal and manufactured to standards that meet or exceed all agreed internal or external specifications.

You will support the Factory Manager to instil a quality culture throughout the site and be the key interface with all members of the senior team ensuring that technical standards are adopted and delivered.

What are the key ingredients needed for the role?

You must have previous experience leading a technical or quality team in fast paced manufacturing environment, working in food hygiene & quality are of the upmost importance and only the highest standards will do. Food experience is highly desirable, but experience in similar high standard environment is a must.

You will need to have experience of managing onsite audits and be comfortable speaking with customers, part of this role will see you engaging with senior stakeholders on a regular basis so strong communications skills are essential.
