Technical Consultant - 6 months fixed term contract

Managing a key supplier base and working closely with the supply chain, your brief will be to drive product quality, safety and supplier partnerships forward, whilst delivering measurable quality improvements. In addition, you’ll be responsible for approving all new suppliers and signing off new products with our food development department as well as championing quality awareness throughout the organisation and providing specialist support on quality initiatives.
Degree qualified in Food Science or a related subject, backed by relevant experience in a similar role, you should be a proven technical professional, with an up to date working knowledge of food safety legislation, along with the ability to build strong and sustainable working relationships, adding real value to the supply chain process. Added to this, we’re seeking an excellent communicator, with a good level of commercial awareness, a customer oriented approach and a commitment to continuous improvement.
