Job Role: National Account Manager
Location: Home Based (Must be able to travel to Northamptonshire 1-2 days a week)
Salary: £40,000-£50,000pa plus package
Our client is a major player in the food sector, with an established network of customers around the UK across retail, manufacturing, foodservice and wholesale. Due to continued growth, they are keen to secure an ambitious National Account Manager to join the business and manage their growing customer portfolio, identify new opportunities and develop new business. This will be focussed on non-retail channels therefore B2B direct to manufacturers, foodservice and wholesale channels.
Reporting to a Commercial Controller, you will be responsible for handling the day to day contact and liaison with the customer, driving sales and service, as well as developing a business development strategy to fully exploit new product or new business opportunities.
You will have had some experience in dealing with the manufacturers (Large and small) as well as the foodservice players. Managing current accounts but also the ability to spot and exploit opportunities.
The successful applicant will be personable and tenacious, alongside strong communication skills, and the desire and drive to make an impact to the sales growth for the business. This will include, taking ownership for turnover and profit, distribution points, promotional activity, category data and customer systems.

The salary is negotiable upon experience, and comes with a car, bonus and pension. The role will be home based but with the ability to travel to Northamptonshire a couple of times a week.
