Technical Manager – Food Production

Our client is a leader in its niche market and supplies most of the country’s leading supermarkets with delicious vegetarian food. The production facility is therefore central and critical to the whole business, and we have been briefed to identify and recruit an outstanding individual to take charge of this part of the operation. As an experienced Technical Manager from within the food industry you will be experienced in all facets of the production process, including Quality Assurance, Compliance and Regulatory matters, health and safety,  and project management. It is essential you have a good understanding of allergen control and validation. You will also need to be an accomplished man manager as the role has a team of six, comprising four direct reports plus two second level reports.

In addition to your day to day duties in the factory, a large part of you work will be liaising with the retailers own technical and compliance team so it would be very much advantageous if you had previous experience of retailer audits and inspections. Relationships with any of the technical / compliance people within the top four / top five grocery retailers would be something of a bonus.

In terms of living location you should live within one of the following counties please; South Yorkshire. Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire.

In return for your dedication and effort, our client is prepared to pay a competitive basic salary of between £55k to £65k plus benefits.
