‘Creating the Magic of Flavour Together’ is our vision at Bart, we are all about flavour and elevating meals to distinctive status using our knowledge and expertise in herbs, spices and ingredients.  We have been sourcing and selling the very best ingredients since 1965 and were pioneers in bringing Fairtrade and Organic herbs and spices to the UK market.  That entrepreneurial spirit still guides us today with relentless enthusiasm.

Every recipe we develop, every seasoning we prepare, we do so with the utmost care and attention to detail, allowing the herbs and spices to sing.  Whether it is a Ground Cinnamon from Sri Lanka, a Black Garlic paste, a Thai Green paste or Garam Masala spice blend, authentic depth of flavour is the ultimate measure.

You can find us under the Bart brand or in private label solutions for major retailers, we also contract pack for other brands, across our two sites in Bristol (dry ingredients) and Newbury (wet ingredients).

We love what we do, we do the right thing by our customers and consumers and we are looking for a likeminded Process Development Technologist to join our growing NPD team.

You will be responsible for managing the transition of product development from kitchen samples and trials to full scale production for our customers and Bart brands.  You will manage EPD projects from benchmarking and matching raw materials to translation of recipes through to production.

You will love working collaboratively and be a facilitator of change, leading projects with development, production, planning, commercial, accounts and technical teams to ensure that NPD and EPD ingredients are landed on time and to budget.

If you are a foodie and love working with a highly motivated team of passionate, professional people, then this could be your dream job.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Have at least 2 years’ experience working in food manufacturing
  • Have a Food Science/Technology degree or relevant qualifications
