We have a new and compelling opportunity for a Technical Sales Manager to work for a European food ingredients business building customer relationship and creating opportunities in the UK region. Uniquely placed this role requires the technical knowledge and know how to create a solution for the customer but also the account relationship ability to manage the sales process.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Working closely with a UK colleague (Commercial Manager) the role will design and implement individual customer commercial strategies and plans to deliver growth for the region.
- The role will work with existing customers but also engage on a number of target new customers.
- Manage and deliver various technical/application projects both commercial and technically.
- Participate and contribute to customer plant trials
To be successful in the role you must have a technical or development background with the Bakery sector - specifically food ingredients and you must have the skills to engage with customers and build relationships. It is essential that you are comfortable with customer communication and negotiation.
Also you must demonstrate self-motivation, trust and reliability and most importantly you must be flexible to work in an evolving structure and happy to wear different hats when required.
