Category Strategy Manager
Our client is one of the larger players in its sector, a supplier to the major multiples who are now looking to strengthen their team by recruiting an exceptional senior category strategy manager to help drive their business forward.
Working with the account management teams, this role will involve analysing the sales and category data by product line for the major multiple accounts they deal with, and spotting the opportunities by data analysis. From this they are looking for someone who can help refine this data in to clear thinking and who can help create 5 year plans.
With the vast amount of data available, the successful candidate will manage a small team in filtering this in to clear and concise reports which will allow the commercial teams to make recommendations on key product lines and categories with their major customers.
The role will involve working with the buying and category management teams of some of the UK's largest retailers in developing plans to drive sales forward for both retailer and supplier, helping them achieve exceptional category growth. The ability to forge senior level relationships with the customer base is a perquisite.
In addition you will be running focus groups, managing data suppliers such as TNS, Dunnhumby and AC Nielson and generally leading this function at a senior level within the organisation.
