UK Planner (Days)

With a £80m+ spend on raw materials and 500mt of factory production capability, effective forecasting, planning and scheduling are paramount at DFI Crewe and DFI Leeds. With 300 SKUS across 10 production lines, ensuring the right product is available and produced to meet customer expectations is essential!
Reporting to the Planning Manager, as one of three UK Planners you will be responsible for preparing daily and weekly production schedules across two UK production sites. Working closely with all Operational departments you will keep abreast of orders and amends, raw material availability, production progress and transport to ultimately deliver on time in full to our valued customers.
Key activities will include:
- Prepare daily and weekly production schedules
- Optimise production runs in relation to changeovers, waste, labour and raw material
- Download stocks, sales and demand data to validate current position
- Make daily amends to plan as required
- Re-plan and issue to factory both immediate and forward plans
- Deal with availability issues that might impact on schedule and identify options and solutions
- Ensure all raw materials / consumables are in the right place at the right time to achieve plan
Who are we looking for?
You will already have scheduling or production planning experience within a high volume FMCG environment, and some understanding of materials and transport planning. With excellent attention to detail you will work confidently with data to consider all variables in producing production and raw material plans. You will have advanced Excel knowledge and great analytical skills to enable you to quickly interpret data and information.
Good organisational skills and tenacity will ensure you meet tight deadlines in a high pressurised, often changing environment. Personable and confident, you will take pride in building positive relationships across sites to ensure information is communicated professionally in an accurate and timely manner.
