THE CATEGORY ACCOUNT MANAGER ROLEManaging the day-to-day business of specified Category Accounts, ensuring timely issue resolution and soliciting new business volume, where appropriate. Assuming commercial responsibility for all aspects of budgeting, forecasting, sales, pricing, profitability, administration, and accurate reportingDeveloping relationships within the existing account base to include commercial, procurement, suppliers, and supply chainMentoring, supporting, and developing your direct report (Account Manager) including conducting regular reviews, appraisals and developing a collaborative personal development plan.Proactively seeking opportunities to develop new accounts, by managing external business enquiries, and identifying and approaching potential partners
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
You will have significant Account Management experience, gravitas, a strong background in the delivery of specific business development projects and the ability to energise your team and ensure successful outcomes. On top of this you will need:A strong background in a sales, or customer-based environmentExperience of managing people. Project management experience (Prince 2 knowledge would be an advantage)Previous wines & spirits experience desirable but not essentialStrong communication skillsProven team player
