THE HR ADVISOR
The HR Advisor will support the HR Manager and provide practical advice on a range of employee issues including performance, disciplinary, grievance and absence management and conflict handling and champions the coaching culture. Other key responsibilities will include: Coach, support and train to embed the coaching culture.Advise on complex and sensitive organisational and people issues to enable senior managers to take appropriate action. Provide support and guidance on individual cases, managing issues to timely conclusions.Advise on employment law, changes to law and wider external factors impacting employment.Responsible for coordinating occupational health advice as required, managing long term absence cases and advising on short term absences as necessary.Support HR Administrator as required in the recruitment process from sign-off, selection through to induction of new employee, including design of assessment centres, advertising, interviews, referencing, preparation of offer letters and contracts of employment and arranging pre-employment health checks.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE. We're looking for a candidate that shows enthusiasm, initiative and excellent communication skills. However, the following basic skills are an advantage -Minimum of 3 years' experience in generalist HR Officer, Business Partner or Advisor role.Must come from a background in manufacturing - ideally food manufacturing.CIPD qualifiedPayroll experience.
